Ms. Holly W. McMahan, a Quinton, Virginia native, currently serves as the 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent with Virginia Cooperative Extension for New Kent and Charles City counties.  She previously served as a 4-H Extension Agent in Knox County, TN through the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.  Holly has fourteen years of experience with 4-H Youth Development work to also include time in Monroe County, TN Extension and the City of Chesapeake Cooperative Extension.  She is excited to be working with both New Kent and Charles City to continue building positive youth development through experience-based learning experiences.  4-H Youth Developments works with youth who are 9-19 years of age and with Cloverbuds who are 5-8 years old. 

Holly's educational passions include building leadership, citizenship and communication skills through in-school clubs, out-of-school clubs, teen leadership clubs, and camping programs.  While in Tennessee, she worked with several students who participated in National 4-H Competitions in Public Speaking (most recently in January of 2020) and Consumer Decision Making (most recently in January 2019).  Several of her 4-H members went on to earn thousands of dollars in college scholarships to attend four-year universities. 

Holly's other passions include spending time with her husband and extended family, hiking in the mountains, traveling, and serving others with her church community.
